Q: What are the accommodation options in town? â€‹

Kingaroy boasts a selection of motel, hotel and bed & breakfast/farm stay options. Those who prefer to camp or travel in caravans are catered for too. Similar accommodation options are also available in other surrounding towns, including Blackbutt, Yarraman, Nanango, Wondai, Murgon and Proston.

Q: Can I buy tickets at the gate?​

Yes, tickets will be available to purchase at the gate. However, we encourage festival goers to buy online if possible. This will ensure you don’t miss out, plus it will allow for quicker movement through
the entrance gate.

Q: Is the event family friendly?​

Most definitely! From our Bacon Street Feast to youth activities, live entertainment, cooking demonstrations and bacon eating competitions, there is something for everyone! Our official program for 2025 will be released soon so you can plan your visit.

Q: Are dogs allowed?​

Only service dogs are allowed in the festival precinct.

Q: Is there parking nearby or a shuttle bus service?​

Yes to both! There is parking available around Memorial Park, Cheers Triangle near the Kingaroy Showgrounds and within the Kingaroy CBD. We will also be providing a Bacon Bus Shuttle Service.

Q: Can I take my own alcohol into the event?​

As BaconFest is a licensed event, you are not able to BYO alcohol.

Q: Are there pass outs if I want to come and go from the festival?​

Your wristband will allow you to come and go from the event. Please keep it on for the duration of the festival.

Q: Is the event cashless and will there be an ATM on site?​

Cash can be used to purchase tickets at the gate and many vendors within the festival site will accept cash too.

Please note however, that there will be no ATM service provided. The closest ATMs to Memorial Park is at Heritage Bank, Kingaroy Shoppingworld (Alford Street) and the Commonwealth Bank (Kingaroy Street).

Q: Should I bring my own chair and/or picnic rug?​

Yes, patrons are encourage to bring their own chairs and/or picnic rug so you can make yourself comfortable to enjoy BaconFest 2025.

Q: Can I smoke/vape at the festival?​

No smoking or vaping is allowed in the fenced precinct area.

​

Q: Can I dress up?​

Of course! If you wish to have your bacon pride on full display - go for it!

Q: What time do gates open?​

Friday 15th: gates open at 5pm. The event wraps up at 9pm.

Saturday 16th: The Big Bacon Breakfast will take place from 7am - 9am. For punters with day passes, gates open at 10am. The event wraps up at 9pm.
