Wine & Swine Evening

This is a dinner party like no other and officially opens Kingaroy BaconFest on the Friday night. Enjoy delicious tapas-style food, a pig on the spit served five ways and two choices of dessert. To complete the celebration, South Burnett band ‘Ryza’ and their infectious rhythms will keep your trotters tapping all night.

Long Table Breakfast at the Whipbird

A celebration of locally-grown foods prepared by local culinary artists Zarly and Devon. This delicious hand-grown, prepared and cooked breakfast experience in the old chapel nestled amongst the Gum Trees will sell out quickly!

Rasher's Rush

The Rasher’s Rush cycling and running event takes place along the popular South Burnett Rail Trail, Queensland’s longest sealed rail trail, and is coordinated by the Wondai Country Running Festival and Kingaroy Nutters. Whether you fancy a 4km walk/run, a 10km run or a 20-30km ride, this is the perfect opportunity to discover the South Burnett a little more!

The Big Breakfast

This is a casual breakfast occasion made for the whole community. If you haven’t chosen to dine out for breakfast in Kingaroy, come on in and join us for breakfast at 7am, enjoy more bacon, on your plate full of breakfast in the Forecourt.

SunPork Smoke-Off

For those who love ‘low and slow’ BBQ, BaconFest hosts the SunPork Smoke-Off, an official round of the Australasian BBQ Alliance Championship Series. Walk around the BBQ teams.

Bacon Eating Competition

Our Bacon Chomp Comp returns in all its sizzling glory! Want to be crowned the swashbuckling bacon-eating champ of BaconFest? Take out the whole competition and win Bacon for a year from Australian Pork Limited.

Local musicians will play live music throughout the day and into the evenings. Check out who is playing when and where throughout the program here.

Our pageant celebrates all pinups showcasing vintage glamour, fun lighthearted style and grace with a splash of BaconFest-themed creativity!

Beard of BaconFest

Beard of BaconFest celebrates the perfect partnership between beards and bacon. You’ll be judged on personality, presentation and of course your beard!

Best Bacon-Themed Dress Up

Dress Up and celebrate bacon with what you wear. Extra points will be awarded for capturing the BaconFest Spirit – so get those imaginative, creative thinking caps on!

Little Piggies

Visit the Little Piggies children’s area for under 12s. The area is full of games and activities for the kids and its very own stage!

Youth 12-24

Join in a range of Youth activities for children aged 12-14. Enjoy a Pig Jam - battle of the bands, Glitter Bar, Slushies and Popcorn all completely free at O’Neill Square, or the skateboarding workshops at the Kingaroy Skate Park. Brought to the festival by South Burnett Regional Council Youth Council and CTC Youth Services. This event is located outside of the footprint and does not require a ticket.
